Cherokee National Holiday Art Show

The Cherokee Art Show and Sale is a 3-day event held during Cherokee National Holiday at the Chota Conference Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The show and sale will begin Friday, August 30 and conclude on Sunday, September 1. It is open to federally recognized Native American artists with the largest percentage of artists being Cherokees who specialize in southeastern art forms.

There are 9 adult categories: pottery, painting, drawings and graphics, photography, sculpture, baskets, textiles, diverse arts, and jewelry. There are also 3 youth categories for those aged 1 through 8, 9 through 13 and 14 through 18 years old. The art show is run every year by volunteers, family, friends, and community members but also in conjunction with different departments of the Cherokee Nation that allow their employees to contribute their time and efforts to make this show and the Holiday a success.
